I bought a set for my car and liked them so much we put a set on my wife's car when it came time for her new tires. In my opinion these are really good all around tires that are well worth the money. Having them on the car makes for not only a quiet ride but one with peace of mind. Enjoy!

Funny timing getting this today, as it was the first real "snow day." I think all of the plows are in Buffalo helping in the emergency, so there was little plowing done in this area. The tires did great, and I even managed to get up the hill at my apartment's parking lot that usually takes several tries in the snow. VERY HAPPY!!

Got these tires because top rated by Consumer Reports. Significant improvement over original equipment tires that only lasted 20k. Juke is a small car with turbo charged engine, and I expect tire wear to be ongoing problem, but car is fun to drive.

These are the best tires I've had on a vehicle. I've only had them on in the summer, but they're excellent. I thought they would run hard and noisy being rated for 90000 miles but they are as smooth and quiet as the Continentals that came on the Subaru which I replaced at 51000 miles. Great cornering ability. Haven't experienced them during heavy rain or snow yet but I'm optimistic.

If you can afford to purchase these tires, you will not be dis-pleased. I am here to tell you. Hear me now, beleive me later. I could not rate the wintry use of them yet as I have only recently purchased them and have not used in the winter. I have been a Michelin tire buyer for many years. These DEFENDERS do as they imply, Defend you on the road to the many driving hazards you might encounter. Kiss_kiss to my Michelin Man Regards

I have purchased only Michelin tires for my cars for the past 20+ years. They wear well, and deliver a smooth, quite ride. Most importantly, my family of drivers has never experienced a tire failure during the hundreds of thousands of miles we have collectively driven. I trust the quality of Michelin's products.

These tires ride harder than I expected. I guess having a 90,000 mile tread rating makes them harder and therefore reducing ride quality. I feel with these tires I feel every bump and even small bumps feel hard. These tires were great in the snow, but I also have all wheel drive. Overall a decent tire but with a harsher ride.

I love these tires for all of the reasons that I rated above, but especially, and I can't overemphasize this, for the gigantic drop in noise level that I experienced in going from the original tire, which had only 27,000 miles on them, were rotated, balanced, and aligned frequently, still wore out prematurely, and were soooooo noisy that I contemplated getting rid of the car, to the new Michelin Defender. BTW, I intend to write to Honda and give them "H" for the garbage original equipment tire and to tell them how close they came to losing a customer because of it. I can now have a conversation while driving and can hear myself think, things I could never do before. And lastly, you have the best prices in town and a very competent and courteous staff, keep up the good work ! !

We have recently had some large snow storms and only once did the car seem to slide. It was more my fault by going much to fast for the conditions, they held great in the packed snow and saved me from a spin. I travel 40 miles one way in all conditions and I have always trusted Michelin. I downgraded to the defender series to save a few dollars and am impressed. They have great traction and longer tread life.

Love Michelins.Wish they still made the Harmony but the Defender has been great. Bought them when the snow started and they haven't let me down in several foot+ snowfalls since and my commute is 35 very hilly miles. I'm a Subaru salesperson so I don't have much of an excuse not to go in but my old car still gets me there safely. Just add great tires!

These tires were a tad expensive but after driving them in the first snow storm (the nex day) I found them to be very responsive. They performed well in 8 inches of snow. Additionally, they have a smooth ride on dry highways, Seem to corner well. I reccomend these tires.

I've only had my new Michelins Defenders since November, but, already I feel more confident about driving around in our upstate weather, which has already been crazy this year, with deep snow, winds and ice. Especially as a senior citizen, I appreciate the confidence these tires give me when I need to get out and travel in nasty weather.

Normally would not spend as much money on tires, but researched and these were well rated. We've had a nasty mix of ice and snow and greasy slush, and I feel very safe on the road more than with any tire I've ever purchased. Definitely a value buy as you can't put a price on safety.I can drive with confidence knowing that my tires grip the road so well!

Didn't want to write a review until I hit some mileage with these tires..so far they're great paired with my all wheel Subaru Outback!! Have had them through the Fall weather: been in rain, some sleet, light snow, no issues whatsoever. I tend to have a heavy foot upon entering highways to catch up with the flow of traffic and no issues, no rubber smell.. The drive is smooth! Does wonders on turns as I can be a daredevil from time to time and really cut the wheel.. Love my Subie with these tires and can't wait to check out the drive on heavy snow

Haven't had tires long enough to see how they will be in winter conditions but so far I like the feel of the tires. I was surprised that they make a bit more noise than I expected but as long as they give me longer life I can live with that. But we will have to wait and see on treadwear as fairly new.

Michelin Defender tires are by far the best tires I have purchased. My car currently has about 180,000 miles and I have gone through quite a few tires. These tires are smooth riding, quiet with excellent traction. I would recommend these tires highly.

Based on online reviews, I expected these tires to be noisy and then get quieter as they broke in over a couple thousand miles. I'm pleased to report that they're not noisy at all, even with all the windows down, and that they feel more nimble and responsive without sacrificing any comfort than the stock Continental touring tires. I have a tendency to get really close to the curb when parking on the street so I appreciate the thicker sidewalls, too. Excellent tires; highly recommended. p.s. My rebate card came within a month of submitting the purchase documentation online, so I've already enjoyed a night out at my favorite brew pub thanks to Michelin. Nice bonus.

I am a picky guy when it comes to performance items. I know you get what you pay for. These were slightly over my budget, but after 3 months of driving, and 4,000 miles, I am happy I got them. They are smooth, and quiet on the highway (important)I hate noisy cars / tires. they brake, and corner great, and still look like new. I would defiantly buy again, and recommend to a friend.

Better fuel efficiency than the OEM Bridgstones, and quieter on the highway. Slightly softer ride, without any loss of road feedback. Have not driven in steady rain or tested for hydroplaning etc. Wanted to get Michelin Hydroedge (excellent experience on our Saab wagon) but dealer says they are discontinued.

When I purchased my Hyundai Sonata in 2009, it had Michelin tires on it. These lasted 4 years and over 60,000 miles. During those 4 years, I never had a flat or any other problem with these tires. So when I had to replace them, I wanted something just as good. The salesman recommended the Michelin Defender, and I heartily agreed with him. Thus far, I have not been disappointed. The ride is superior, and I expect that these tires will last just as long as the last ones. In addition, the price was very good for this quality tire. I wouldn't buy any other brand!! Thanks, Michelin! .. and Mavis Discount Tire!

Seeing as these tires slipped on black ice while driving on the throughway ending up totaling my car I would not say these tires work very well in icy conditions. Only had these tires for three weeks prior to the demise of my car.

Just 2 weeks after purchasing these tires, our family drove 8 hours through a blinding snowstorm and ended up taking a wrong turn. Had it not been for these tires we would never have made it back to the highway. I credit these tires with keeping us safe on that harrowing trip. Am I pleased? That would be a resounding YES!

So far, with limited miles, 1,500, these tires are a softer ride, they seem to track well, are definitely quieter than the stiff tires I had on before, and the cornering and handling is very relaxing. Much softer ride, but seems to grip the road and handle in weather very well. I feel very happy with them and will get a similar Michelin tire next time if not these exact ones...with a 90,000 mile warranty, who knows what they'll be selling then?

Except for snow, these make Goodyear look like Badyear. Smooth as butter, near noiseless, track and turn like you are on a rail. Wet roads are fine, but not aggressive enough tread for 6-8 inches of snow, got stuck a few times. Put the same tires on my 2004 Subaru Forrester, very similar experience, superior in every way, except real snow.

We took our annual fall drive to Florida for the winter months and what a difference in the ride. It was so smooth and soft feeling. My old tires would bounce if you hit a bump in the road but these new Michelin tires seem to float over them. We had the car loaded with animals, suitcases and other heavy items and we actually had an increase in the average miles per gallon during the trip. I highly recommend these tires!!

I purchased these Defenders to replace my Michelin Energy LX4 tires. I was very happy with the LX4's and they lasted to 50,000 miles as per Michelin's Specs. The Defenders are a 90,000 mile tires and if they are anything lke the LX4's then I'll be very happy. So far I only have them for 600 miles and they are doing fine. Check back with me in a year after going through the Saratoga NY winter months and I'll giver you another review.

So far these tires are worth the money. Only one trip in the snow and a few days of rain but i would not have preferred another tire on my rogue. Need to give it a few more miles to really determine the tread wear but i do plan on rotating them regularly.

Original Equipment tires were terrible...had to be replaced at 16K miles...the Michelin Defender tires were a no brainer. Great price for a great tire...plus the Mavis reputation. Have driven in very heavy rain, highway and city conditions and these tires are excellent...I recommend them to any SUV owner.

So far so good. Tires provide a nice quiet and smooth ride. Dry traction and cornering has been very good. I don't drive like a maniac. Hopefully will have good winter experience. Not sure they really improve gas mileage like the claims. Mileage has actually gone down a bit but I'm not sure if gas companies have already started selling the winter mix (September), which reduces mileage to begin with.

What a difference from the OEM Kumho tires...like a totally different car. Very, very smooth and quiet on both city and highway roads. Excellent steering response, totally not like the tank-like drive of the Kumhos. Obviously, I have not had new Defender tires long enough to evaluate the tread wear or the winter driving, but I have high hopes that the tires live up to the hype. I'm extremely happy with this purchase so far.
