Great tire. Had to replace two due to a pot hole incident. Difficult tire to find, since factory in Japan closed due to Tsunami. Mavis was only place I could find the tire.

Great tire for the money. Very good in light to heavy snow on this rear wheel drive car. I'm sure the traction control helps, but the tires very seldom if ever loose traction or slip under normal winter driving conditions. These tires are dedicated to winter use only but I find they have acceptable handling in dry winter conditions and they are not noisey for a winter tire. They don't have the "sport" handling that the low profile 18" staggered OEM tires have, but you could not expect them to. Very happy with the purchase.

Living in the snow belt of New Hampshire these tires have seen a lot of snow and slippery road conditions on highways and rural roads. They are on a daily driver so they see it all at the worst times of day and they have never failed to get us to were we are going. I have literally plowed snow with the front bumper on the car and they kept on digging there way forward. What more can you ask of a snow tire. Rarely have I been impressed enough with any tire that I have purchased them again and again with multiple vehicles like I have these tires. I have done a lot of review reading on snow tires and these tires are regularly listed as a tire to beat in a comparision and there is a reason for that ,THEY'RE A GREAT SNOW TIRE. The only draw back to these tires is that they are a little louder than some but not untolerable by any means. I'd rather hear a tire taking me home than a quiet tire stuck and spinning in a ditch. I wouldn't suggest running a good set in the summer as they are not designed for that and it s

they're snow tires so some level of noise is expected. no snow tire can prevent skidding on ice if roads are that bad.

Too few miles to rate treadwear; ice traction is blank because those conditions have not occurred.

This is my 3rd set of Blizzak Snow Tires for my SAAB, and they are the best that I have ever used. I need to drive in all weather conditions (snow, ice or rain), so good tires are critical to me. I have tried All Season tires, but there is nothing like four great snow tires to get you safely and reliably through a storm. On February 6th 2010, when we had a major 2nd 18" storm in a week, I was able to drive on highways and back roads, when it was just me and the snow plows out there.

I've had these tires for a few months and I have driven them through multiple rain storms, snow storms, and light snow on the ground. In the rain they perform excellent even really deep puddles on the highway they do not hydroplane. I drove during the big blizzard Long Island had in late Dec 09, these tires handled like champs. Granted I have all wheel drive but I had traction at all times. I had to drive reverse onto a lawn covered in 2 feet of snow while a plow did its work in the driveway I was in and when the plow was done I drove right out of where I was without slipping at all! Thought I might have gotten stuck but nope! Then after that I drove from the east end of LI all the way to Nassau on multiple highways that were not plowed very well and the car handled amazing even at speeds over 55 mph! I highly recommend these tires it makes snow driving fun!

I had read reviews from both the experts and other purchasers of Blizzaks and thought these tires are probably good but no tire could be a good as the gushing reviews I was reading.

Well... I WAS WRONG! They are even better than what other people were saying. I love my Acura TSX but the Michelins that come standard while great for dry and wet conditions were a bit scary with even a little snow or ice.

The first taste of winter we had had this year was an ice/snow storm that left about 4 inches of slushy heavy snow with nice slick ice base to it. I thought - well here goes nothing. I pulled out the driveway and slowly tested the tires handling and traction abilities and was stunned about how well they performed. I then drove off to work and never once did these tires not let me down. I even pushed them a bit to test them. (Hard Braking and those kind of things) and couldn't believ how well they performed!

I would recommend these tires to anyone. Oh by the way I initially only bought two for the front

We live in Vermont's "Snow Belt." I have always had 1 4WD pick-up, an AWD van and a front wheel drive sedan. The Blizzaks are on my 2009 Corolla which had been getting in the 39 MPG with the stock-all seasons. Hasn't damaged mileage too badly, down to 37mpg. I have Hakapellita 2 with studs on my 2004 AWD Grand Caravan. The Caravan, which is 1000 lbs heavier than the Corolla, acts like a little tractor in any and all adverse conditions. But the mpg's drop from 20mpg to 17.5 mpg with the Hak 2's on. Nearly twice the hit compared to the Blizzaks. And they are noisier than a jack hammer 500 feet away. I knew the Corolla sound deadening abilities were pretty pathetic compared to the Caravan, so studded tires were not an option.
The Haks are a slam dunk in the superior rating scale.
the Blizzaks have proven to be a healthy runner up. We're very confident with the Corolla in all but the snowiest conditions, 6 inches or more on the road. I use either vehicle in aall other conditions.
